Did you get the flying beetle invasion in Murwillumbah last week? All of a sudden masses of beetles started pelting our windows like driving hail. It really was one of nature’s unusual & amazing events. The driveway was a black beetle carpet in the morning. I imagined the scene as an illustration. It was too weird to be believable.
I am a freelance illustrator based in Murwillumbah, Northern NSW, where I live with my partner John, my daughters Olympia & Matilda, Peggy the dog, Cat the cat, and two chickens Penelope and Wendy.
I work from my studio where I spend most of my time illustrating children's books, designing book covers, drawing and printmaking.
My work can be seen in books and magazines, on covers, stationery, greeting cards, posters, promotional material and in advertising.
